Meet The Teacher

I am thrilled to return to LBCRS for my 3rd year! This year, I will be teaching 4th grade Reading, ELA, and Social Studies after being a 5th grade Homeroom teacher the last two years. I am an alumni of Villanova University where I played Division I basketball and earned a B.A. in Human Services, Psychology, and Sociology. I then pursued a Master's in Social Work and spent some time as a School Social Worker. This is when I realized that I yearned to be IN the classroom with children! Since then, I've had experience teaching Pre-K, 2nd Grade, and 5th Grade, and earned my Master's Degree in Elementary Inclusive Education at Teachers College, Columbia University.

Outside of school, I love to stay active. I enjoy running, riding my bike, and occasionally picking up a basketball for old times' sake! I also love to travel and experience new cultures, history, scenery, and food. Fun fact: I have lived in 6 different countries and speak 3 languages! Most importantly, I enjoy spending time with my 7 year old daughter who is also VERY active! :)

The most rewarding aspect of my job as a teacher is building relationships with my students and their families, and I truly look forward to a terrific year together!
