Scientist of the Month:
Alexander Fleming

The week of Monday, September 24th.
We are so excited for our field trip to the Liberty Science Center. The students will be coming home with permission slips this afternoon (9/18)- Be sure to get these back into school ASAP! Looking forward to it! 

Math Class:
We will write and interpret numerical expressions, understand the place value system, and reform operations with multi-digit whole numbers and with decimals

Extra help will be held on Tuesday at 7:30 am in my classroom!
Our Chapter 1 test will be on Wednesday, September 24th! 

Science Class:
All living things are made up of cells. Cells work together to make up tissues, organs, and organ systems. 

Please be aware that our first Scientist of the Month assignment is due on Tuesday, September 18th. Happy researching!

Reading Class:

We will be reading Old Yeller this week. Our skills this week will focus on character analysis comparing and contrasting characters, and we will end our week with a writing assignment that focuses on the characters in this story. 

Remember that we will have Spelling/Vocabulary homework assigned on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday night. The students should use Thursday night to review their spelling and vocabulary words for our Friday morning assessment.
