4th Grade Math: Chapter 2 - Multiply by 1-Digit Numbers
This week we will continue to round factors to estimate products.  We will then learn to use the Distributive Property and Expanded Form to break apart multi-digit numbers before we multiply them.  There will be a quiz on Friday. **Our Multiplication challenge has begun!  The 4th graders have been completing timed tests with facts x1, x2, x3, x4 and this week x5.  When they meet the specified challenge criteria they will add their names to the Multiplication Challenge Bulletin Board for the given factor.  STUDY, STUDY, STUDY those multiplication facts!!!!

5th Grade Math: Chapter 4 - Multiplying Decimals
This week we will begin to learn how to multiply decimals.  First we will return to Chapter 1 lessons that will help us identify multiplication patterns with powers of ten and decimals.  We will then learn to multiply decimals using expanded form and partial products before learning the rules for multiplying decimals with regrouping.
