Meet The Teacher

My name is Catherine Brennan and this is my first year teaching at Long Beach Catholic Regional School! I feel so blessed to join the LBCRS family! I recently graduated from Molloy College where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Childhood Education and Special Education. I will soon return to Molloy to pursue my Master’s Degree in Educational Technology.

I knew that I wanted to be a teacher since I was in elementary school. Each day I would come home from school and teach my grandmother what I learned in school that day. I would turn our living room into a classroom and pretend I was the teacher. The encouraging teachers I’ve had along the way strengthened my desire to become a teacher. It is my goal to be an encouraging, positive, role model for my students.

I had the privilege of attending Catholic school most of my life. My faith has been, and continues to be, an important part of my life. I became a Eucharistic Minister in my junior year of high school and I continue to distribute the Eucharist whenever possible.

I am an avid reader and I hope to pass on my love of reading to my students. Reading can take you on so many adventures without leaving your house! I hope to remind my students how exciting books can be. As Dr. Seuss wrote, “The more that you READ, the more things you will KNOW. The more that you LEARN, the more places you’ll GO.”

I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know each of you. We are going to have a great school year!
