Meet the Teacher

Welcome to Second Grade!

If you haven't met me, I have been a classroom teacher for eleven years and my degrees are in A.S. in Criminal Justice, B.A. in Psychology, and M.A. in Childhood Education from Adelphi University. Besides having my Childhood Education certification grades 1-6, I also have my Students with Disabilities certification.

I am very pleased to be part of the team at Long Beach Catholic Regional School for my third year. For the past 11 years, I have taught children from five to twelve years old in many settings such as kindergarten, third grade, sixth grade, (fourth, fifth and sixth grade math), (first and third grade reading and math), and eighth grade science, as well as in special education settings.
My favorite classroom memory is when I taught math. We were working on a geometry unit and students created geometric kites that were able to fly. It was fun, hands on, and very exciting for students.

When I am not teaching
I enjoy being outdoors, especially during the summer. My favorite activities are cycling, fishing, hiking, swimming at the beach, reading, and most importantly, being a mom to my children Christopher and Joanna.

My family and I enjoy going to parks, the aquarium, music performances, gardening, and we enjoy reading children's books together. I am looking forward to working with you and making learning fun and motivating. I count on us having a wonderful year together! :)
