Mr. Dara - Phys. Ed.

I would like this year to be much different for these students than any year they have experienced Physical Education. Not only combining the fun and enjoyment of physical activity and games, but also allowing the students to be creative while building the mental side of their game. I have the unique experience of having Pre-K through 8th Grade which means I will have the opportunity to impact every student that enters Long Beach Catholic this year. 

I began my career in schools as an assistant for a varsity basketball team. It only makes sense to end up here as a Phys Ed teacher and coach. Here is one of my favorite quotes that embodies the exact type of coach and teacher I would like to be for your children this year:

Dear God, 

Please give the faith to believe in You. 
the strength to know I can do all things through You. 
the courage to trust my teammates.
the knowledge to make wise decisions. 
the wisdom to remember what I have learned from coaches, teachers, and parents

Please watch over us and protect us from injury. 
Please remind me to be slow to anger and rich in kindness.
Please remind me that You love me no matter how I perform
Please remind me that You love me even if our team loses. 

I ask that you watch over us and remind us that we are all children of God. 
The other team, the other coaches, my teammates, my coaches, the fans and even the ref. 

We are all God’s children and we are all doing the best we can. 
May you please help me be better than yesterday.
