Happy Friday!! I hope that everyone enjoys their up-coming weekend and that you get to spend time outdoors; maybe some snow?? Let's continue to practice kindness everyday in all that we do!
PLEASE REMEMBER IN THE MORNING THAT THE MAIN SCHOOL BEGINS ITS DAY AS SOON AS THEY ARRIVE. WE ARE ASKING THAT WHEN YOU BRING YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL, PLEASE HAVE THEM WAIT QUIETLY FOR PRE-K TO BE LET INTO THE BUILDING.
WE KNOW THAT THIS IS DIFFICULT, BUT IT IS TRULY NECESSARY FOR THE OTHER GRADES. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.
Here are our plans for the up-coming week:
Our theme next week will be "Ballads, Folktales and Fables," and our word of the week will be: "genre." We will be working on the letter Kk, both its formation and its sound.
Please keep reviewing the sounds of each letter with your child on a daily basis, to reinforce what we cover in class. It doesn't have to be a drill, just part of your conversation. When you ask them what they want for breakfast, for example, and they tell you eggs, ask them what letter do they hear at the beginning of the word "egg," etc..

Monday - Ballads, folktales and fables tell stories.
Tuesday - Ballads use words that rhyme.
